Wednesday After-School Pottery Club - Sept/Oct

6 Weeks of Pottery Fun with Ella Strongman

Wednesdays from 3:15-5:15 pm - September 10 - October 15

Kids ages 8-12 learn various hand-building techniques, plus a class on the wheel, and a chance to try out the mini wheel. Students will learn and build upon many different skills including slab/coil/pinch/sculpting hand-building techniques, introductory wheel throwing, plus decoration techniques using stamps, rollers, and carving tools. Kids will use underglazes to paint, and learn how to glaze finished work. Projects include functional pieces such as mugs and cups as well as fun sculptural work.

**Returning students are welcome! We rotate projects and can alter/add new techniques to keep things fresh and exciting! Returning students are also able to design and make their own custom project during the course, to work on independently with guidance from Ella.

8 participants maximum, 4 participants minimum to run the class (we reserve the right to cancel and offer full refunds under these circumstances).

Materials, tools, and aprons provided.
